It’s been a few months since I’ve posted something. I started a fulltime job at a great agency in Hamilton, NJ named Rosetta that does inspiring digital work. I’m proud to be a part of their team. In the meantime, I’ve worked in a few side projects, some surfing, and some motorcycling. I’ve been spending a lot of time hanging out with my buddy Ed Yakovich. Hard Goods iPhone 4 Sleeves

Been working on a new piece to add to the Hard Goods collection. A few weeks ago I started hand sewing an iphone sleeve for myself out of some scrap canvas and a pair of old corduroy jeans. My buddy, new Hard Goods collaborator and modern day viking, Aaron Buckley, came in to town Monday with a sewing machine. We got a chance to flush out the idea more thoroughly. Instead of using corduroy for added screen protection/cleaning we used wool. For the outsides we found a green canvas twill and a stronger/tighter canvas. Altogether, I’m happy with the final product and my phone now resides safely and cleanly in the new case. Pics below.

Weekend Projects

Recently I switched from working at The Heads of State studio in Old City to working as a freelancer at Tierney in Center City. Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot less time and energy to work on personal projects so I’ve been slowly learning how to pace myself and still stay productive. I’ve been making attempts at producing more work off of the computer and explore more hand made techniques. Here’s some pictures of this weekend’s project. I built a standing work table in the basement and finally got around to experimenting with painting surfboards. Played some washers while I waited for the paint to dry.

Hard Goods Coasters

Tom and I started these last Summer. After going through a number of iterations, we finally got to a place where we liked them. It was a fun, organic process of trial and error. We picked our favorite combination of materials and this weekend Tom began working on a holder for the coasters. Still left to do is figure out the best way to package them all together. They’ll be on sale sometime soon, somewhere. Here’s some photos of us working on them.

John “Haveboard” Finnegan brought this to my attention. The geniuses behind the minivan commercials have been doing a great job attempting to rebrand the family van. Does it make you want to buy a minivan? Not sure. The odds are better than in the early 2000′s though. Check out this viral video for the Toyota Sienna SE.
